Dutch football fan attacks journalists

Police have reportedly arrested a Dutch Ajax fan who physically assaulted two journalists from the Telegraaf while they were filming a live report in London on Tuesday. Pim Sedee and cameraman Thom Schelstraete were doing a background report on the match with Tottenham Hotspur yesterday when the Dutchman hit them both. PSV level with Ajax after win in Tilburg

PSV Eindhoven and Ajax are level on points with two games to go in the Eredivisie season after the Eindhoven side coasted to a 3-0 win at Willem II. Goals from Donyell Malin and Michael Sadílek put Mark van Bommel’s side in control at half-time before Steven Bergwijn added the third after 65 minutes. FC Twente set to return to the Eredivisie

Football club FC Twente is heading back to the Eredivisie after taking the first division title with a 0-0 draw against Young AZ at home on Monday. The goalless draw was enough to give the club enough points to seal the title after main competitor Sparta lost 2-0 to Young PSV.  With three matches left to play, Twente is eight points clear of Sparta, who have just two games to go. Ajax to meet Spurs in London on April 30

Amsterdam football club Ajax will play Tottenham Hotspur in the semi-finals of this year’s Champion’s League competition following the English club’s away goal win over Manchester City in Wednesday’s quarter final. The first leg will be played in London on Tuesday April 30, with the return leg on Wednesday May 8 in Amsterdam. Four of the current Spurs line-up are ex-Ajax players.
